To broaden our portfolio of software companies in Poland and the Baltics, we are looking for a Business Development Specialist. The candidate represents the front end of the acquisition process: mapping and analysing vertical software market, extending the pipeline of qualified M&A leads, and getting in contact with prospects. Day-to-day cooperation will mainly be with the M&A team based in Poland and across the Europe. The ideal candidate is analytical, has very strong communication skills, and possesses basic financial literacy.

Job description

You will drive our acquisition activities of sourcing and nurturing target companies by:

  • Growing our prospect database in Poland and the Baltics by identifying vertical market software companies meeting our acquisition criteria
  • Demonstrating creativity, persistence, and credibility in reaching out to Owners, Operators, and C-Suite leadership
  • Initiate outbound prospecting calls, email, and social media communication to identify and connect with target companies
  • Gathering, analyzing, and presenting target company information to the M&A team and company executives
  • Conduct sales development best practices to connect with and qualify prospects
  • Assisting in the later stages of the process as appropriate: g. supporting due diligence, assisting with Investment Memorandum, providing continuity of relationship, etc
  • Track activities and manage relevant information in Salesforce


  • Native in Polish language
  • Very good command of the English language (written and spoken)
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a complete (enterprise) sales cycle or Business Development role
  • Basic knowledge of key financials and annual reports
  • Previous use of a sales engagement platform (CRM) is desirable
  • Willingness to travel around Poland and the Baltics for meetings with prospects, as well as to the Netherlands a few times each year for team meetings and training events
